Summer Classic

The Summer Classic will feature a daily camp conducted by top Dominican Pro League Coaches, Trainers, Players, American College Coaches, Pro Scouts, and guest instructors. Individual players will be divided into teams for play against top Dominican teams.


We will play a minimum of 5 games against teams from around the Dominican. Most of the games will be played at the MLB "Baseball City", which is the nicest complex in the Dominican. In addition, your team will get to play a game or two at one of the local baseball academies to experience the Dominican Baseball Culture.

 

During the summer classic the group will travel around seeing Dominican Summer League games. Visiting the many sites of the Dominican Republic.

 

 

 


Dominican Summer League
The Dominican Summer League is a branch of affiliated minor league baseball which is played in the Dominican Republic. The league was founded in 1985. Games run from the beginning of June until the end of August.

The league consists of thirty-four teams in five different divisions. Each team is affiliated with a different major league franchise with the exception of the Milwaukee Brewers (who fielded a team until the 2004 season); five franchises have two teams.

Six teams make the playoffs: the winner of each division plus the best runner-up. The two teams with the best winning percentages receives byes to the semifinals.
